Photo of Meteora. This is a panoramic
photo collaged from different images. The background has
been altered to best accommodate a computer screen, and
to enhance the spectacular rock formations. In the foreground
hovers the monastery of Roussanou, perched atop an upward
reaching rock. On the top right, the monastery of Grand
Meteoron is visible (only in the 1680x1050 version).

| Photo of the Eastern
Crete coast.
This photo is taken from the Itanos archaeological
site, looking southeast. Behind me is the nice beach of Erimoupolis.
On the rocks in the foreground one can see the ruins of
and ancient structure, and just behind this headland lies
a nice sandy beach that is only accessible by boat. And
just beyond it, one can find the beautiful Vai
beach. |
