Avlaki Beach is an organized beach.
There is a large parking lot in front of it, and you pay an entrance fee to enter.
  • Beach berm:
    Sand
  • Seafloor:
    Sand
  • Water rating: 3/5 about
  • Access:
Good = Paved road all the way to the beach. Parking near the beach
  • Amenities:
    Restaurant at the beach
    Bar at the beach
Organized Beach (trash collection, umbrellas, showers etc.)
    Organized Beach with entrance fee
    Hotel on the beach
  • RV / Camper Accessibility:
Site suitable for parking for the day, but not for camping
RV's can park at the beach parking lots which get packed with cars during the day. Parking is free.
  • Snorkeling:
It does not look promising. I did not snorkel
Rocks at the North and South ends of the beach might be of interest.
  • Notes:
This might be the best bet for swimming if you visit Athens. It is a pain to find if you drive there. As an organized beach (we paid € 4.00 per person in 2006) it offers showers, restaurants (more like an open-air cafe than a restaurant), changing rooms, umbrellas and beach beds, and has a lifeguard on duty. During the summer months it is packed with people and it is very hard to find space under an umbrella. Even though paddle ball is forbiden, there are so many balls flying around, and so many people and children hit by the balls, that render this beach one of the most annoying we have visited.

    Beach Report by Alexis
I've been travelling to Avlaki beach since i was four years old. It is a very nice beach. Clean, crystal blue waters, and over the years it has improved alot. There are even vendors at the entrance that sell various jewellery and summer goods. Rcommended highly for families, and a great spot to meet new people. the only thing is that it is quite pricy to get in 5euros now, was there last summer and plan to go back next summer too!
